Today was our first time back to our church since my daughter had her heart surgery last month.

The service today was filled with songs for the children and had a special message about children and how they enthusiastically face things in life. Everything is new and exciting and an adventure. When do we loose that and why? I won't say too much more about all of this except how it was really meaningful to me in particular since I was just reflecting on how quickly life goes by (as noted in my very first post here).

Here is the bible verse we concentrated on.

Luke 10:27
He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all
your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your
neighbor as yourself.'"

And on a lighter note, we start a few new fun activities this week. Tuesday, we start a mommy and toddler swim class at the local pool. M love love loves the water, so it should be a lot of fun for her. It's Tuesdays and Thursdays for the next four weeks. Wednesday, they have an open swim for just parents and toddlers. We've gone to that a few times and enjoyed it. So we'll probably go again this Wednesday. Then Friday, I have us signed up for a lapsit at the library. It's actually their second week of this session but we missed the first week. They keep it short and sweet, add in some songs and things. Should be fun. And oh yes, Halloween is this week as well. So we'll have to dress up that day of course. I should have gotten her a monkey costume though since she is the biggest little monkey these days! She climbs on everything. Tons of energy too and she's still going through a growth spurt. Next week, she'll get weighed for her synagis shot, and I'm very curious as to how much weight she's gained this past month.
