Tot learning fun

Here are just a few of the things we've been doing lately:

Shaving cream: touching and playing in it, drawing in it, finding the hidden marbles and putting them in the cup

Playdough: we made our own kool aid playdough and M really enjoys using the cookie cutters to make different shapes

Painting: besides spainting, she's learning about mixing colors and learning color words

Gluing: regular ol' white glue in a dixie cup with a q tip to apply the glue and then put tissue paper on top of the glue

Stickers: foam stickers are new for her and she loves using them

Sorting: sorting different objects by color, M easily sorted two colors so now we're working on three colors

Matching: we've worked on matching but just the other day, M decided to match one of her cookie cutter letters to one of her puzzle pieces, we then sat down together and she matched up over half of the rest of the alphabet

Fine motor skills: lots of the things we do falls into this category, but one thing M really enjoys is sticking tooth picks into a piece of styrofoam (so simple!). Another is sticking toothpicks, craft sticks and similar things into salt shakers or other similar small hole containers.
