M woke up with a 103.3 fever this morning.... it was around 102 last night before bed. After talking with the oncall pediatrician (who just happened to be the same pediatrician who cared for M when she was first diagnosed with her heart defect, so she knew a lot of her early history which was convienant) and given the fact that she had open heart surgery not quite two months ago, we went into the hospital to get some blood work done to rule out any infections. Thankfully her fever went down to 100 by the time we got there (M took some ibuprofen and had a tempid bath before we left for the hospital). All the blood work so far doesn't show an infection. We have to wait until tomorrow for the culture to come back to rule anything else out. She's been acting fine for the most part... a bit crabbier than normal, sleeping a bit more too. She has a couple of teeth coming in as well (so a slight fever can be normal while getting new teeth, but hers was a bit high for just teething). Temperature just a little while ago was 101. Hopefully the fever will be gone soon and the culture will come back negative for anything. The pediatrician was impressed with how well M was doing and at how she was meeting all her milestones including walking. And Little Miss was up to about 22 pounds today. Still gaining great!
